Lead Dental Nurse

When did you start?

June 1999

What does your job role entail?

I am a qualified dental nurse working alongside the Orthodontist or Therapist with the delivery of Orthodontic treatment to patients. I take and develop radiographs, clinical photographs and impressions. I also help with the smooth running of the surgeries.

What did you do for job before choosing this career?

I trained as a Beauty Therapist and then became a stay at home Mum, looking after my three daughters. I have also worked as a Supervisor at B&Q and worked as a carer in a nursing home. Looking for part-time work I fell into dental nursing and loved it.

What is your super power in work?

I think I am personable and approachable to both patients and other members of staff. I am a good communicator and have helped new colleagues integrated and become

What do you love about your job?

I love seeing patients reaction and happiness at the completion of treatment. For some it is a huge transformation and they can’t stop smiling.

What makes Wallasey Orthodontics stand out from the competition?

We are a small team that gels well together. We are led by an Orthodontist that wants to give the best treatment available to his patient’s, looking for new innovative ways to achieve this.

What is your favourite thing about Wallasey Orthodontics?

I like the interaction with patients and fellow workers, we are a good team.

What do you like to do when not in work?

I love socialising with friends and family. I crochet and craft. I like walking and I love looking after my grandchildren.
